Tour De Yorkshire 2018 – Men’s Race

Day One – Doncaster to Selby – 02.05.2019

Day one of the 2019 edition was just the Men’s Race. Racing from Doncaster where Stage 1 ended in 2018 to Selby. It was a day of mixed weather culminating in torrential rain at the finishing line in Selby.

Day Two – Barnsley to Bedale – 03.05.2019

Day Two was for both the Men’s and the Ladies Races started in Barnsley as Day Two did in 2019. This year it came into Harrogate to use the circuit devised for the the upcoming 2019 UCI World Championships.  The race finished in Bedale.

Day Three – Bridlington to Scarborough – 04.05.2019

On Day Three, it was a coastal stage for both races, from Bridlington up north as far as Whitby then back done the coast in Scarborough. I found a sport in the middle which was used twice by both races.

Day Four – Halifax to Leeds – 05.05.2019

In Cycling Tours, the name given to the purposely extreme stage is the Queen Stage. Day Four was the Queen Stage. It was exactly the same stage as the 2018 edition. It started in Halifax at the Piece hall and went north, deep into the Yorkshire Dales before swooping back south and heading down into Leeds.
